DENVER (Reuters) - The Denver Broncos agreed a four-year deal to keep cornerback Champ Bailey on Tuesday.
The contract was worth $43 million, according to the Denver Post, and would keep the 10-times Pro Bowler from testing the free agent market.
"Champ is truly one of the NFL's elite players, a 10-times Pro Bowler who is playing at the absolute highest level," Broncos Executive Vice President of Football Operations John Elway told the team's website (denverbroncos.com).
"He demands greatness from himself at all times and is going to play a big part in returning the Broncos to championship contention."
Bailey recorded 45 tackles and two interceptions for Denver last season and his 10 Pro Bowls are the most by an NFL cornerback.
