Milwaukee Brewers center fielder Carlos Gomez left Thursday's contest against the Cincinnati Reds in the top of the fourth inning after sustaining a right knee sprain when he crashed into the outfield wall.

Cincinnati second baseman Brandon Phillips led off the fourth with a drive to center and Gomez made a leaping grab at the warning track before smacking awkwardly into the wall.

Gomez made his way off the field under his own power, with Logan Schafer taking over in center field.

Gomez entered Thursday's tilt batting .289 with 18 home runs and 55 RBI in 113 games.
