Milwaukee, WI – Milwaukee Brewers left fielder Ryan Braun was removed from Monday's game against the San Francisco Giants in the bottom of the 10th inning due to right groin tightness.
Batting with two outs in the frame, Braun poked a weak ground ball to second base and ran gingerly up the first base line. He was replaced in the top of the 11th by Nyjer Morgan.
He provided a much-needed offensive lift for his team before leaving by blasting a game-tying two-run homer in the eighth inning.
The six-year veteran is hitting .331 this season with 11 home runs and 28 RBI.
