BOURNEMOUTH, England (AP) Bournemouth says striker Callum Wilson will be out for six months with a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.

Wilson, who has scored five goals in seven Premier League games for newly promoted Bournemouth, will have an operation next week.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe says ''it's very disappointing for Callum, after what has been an exceptional start.''

The 23-year-old Wilson is already the third player in Bournemouth's squad to sustain an anterior cruciate knee ligament injury this season, after signings Tyrone Mings and Max Gradel.

Mings will not play again this season, while Gradel is out for six months.
