Nuremberg, Germany (SportsNetwork.com) - Second seed Eugenie Bouchard and unseeded Karolina Pliskova will battle in Saturday's final at the Nurnberger Cup tennis event, a final clay court French Open tune-up.

Friday's semifinals saw the Canadian Bouchard handle Italian Karin Knapp 6-4, 6-3 and the Czech Pliskova upend fourth-seeded Ukrainian Elina Svitolina 2-6, 6-1, 6-2.

The 20-year-old Australian Open semifinalist Bouchard will appear in her second career final. She was a runner-up in Osaka, Japan, last year.

The 22-year-old Pliskova is now a three-time WTA finalist, having titled in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, last year and finished as a runner-up in Pattaya City, Thailand, this season.

Bouchard came from behind beat Pliskova in a first-round match at the U.S. Open last year.
