Clarence Seedorf secured a move to Botafogo on Sunday, signing a two-year contract with the Brazilian side.

The longtime AC Milan standout ended a 10-year stay at the San Siro this summer and has reportedly been given the most lucrative contract ever handed to a foreign player in Brazil.

"Botafogo have formalized a contract with the Dutch midfielder Clarence Seedorf, who is 36," a club statement read. "Seedorf has signed a deal for two years with Botafogo.

"It is the biggest contract for a foreigner made by a Brazilian football club."

Seedorf joins a Botafogo side that sits in eighth place in the Campeonato with three wins from six games.
