Boston's Beckett scratched from Sunday start

Chicago, IL – Boston Red Sox pitcher Josh Beckett has been scratched from his scheduled start on Sunday against the Cubs due to right shoulder inflammation.

Beckett is scheduled to undergo tests, Red Sox manager Bobby Valentine revealed after Friday's loss to Chicago.

Franklin Morales will start in Beckett's place. He hasn't started a game since 2009 when he was still a member of the Colorado Rockies.
