Boston, MA – The Boston Red Sox activated third baseman Kevin day disabled list Friday.
He was on the DL since August 18 with a low back strain that had been plaguing him for several days prior. He went 2-for-8 in two rehabilitation games with Triple-A Pawtucket.
The 32-year-old is batting .266 with 17 homers and 78 RBI over 110 games this season.
Boston's active roster stands at 28 with the activation of Youkilis.
