Bolton ends barren spell with win over Blackburn

Mark Davies handed Bolton an early lead, providing the opening goal in the fifth minute, and Nigel Reo-Coker doubled the advantage in the 30th minute.

Aiyegbeni Yakubu attempted to spark a comeback for the home side with a goal in the 67th minute, but it failed to light a fire under Blackburn, as Rovers crashed to their third-successive defeat.

Bolton climbs out of the Premier League cellar at the expense of Blackburn as the two sides trade places. Blackburn falls to last place with 10 points while Bolton climbs to second-from-bottom with 12 points.

Blackburn has dropped four of its last five Premier League contests, leaving Steve Kean on the proverbial hot seat with fans calling for the manager to be sacked.

Wolverhampton 2, Norwich City 2

Wolverhampton, England - Ronald Zubar notched an equalizer eight minutes from time to see Wolverhampton salvage a 2-2 draw with Norwich City at Molineux on Tuesday.

Andrew Surman had initially put the visitors in front in the 12th minute, but Sylvan Ebanks-Blake struck in the 37th minute to see the two sides head into halftime deadlocked at one goal apiece.

Simeon Jackson had then handed Norwich City a late lead with his goal in the 76th minute, but Wolves were able to manage a point six minutes later through Zubar's first goal of the season, snapping a two-game losing skid for the home side.

Wolves, on 15 points, now sit two points clear of the relegation zone, while the Canaries occupy a place in the top-half of the table with 21 points.
