St. Louis, MO – The St. Louis Blues have rewarded All-Star year contract extension.
Elliott has posted a 15-5-1 record and 1.68 goals-against average in 22 games (21 starts) this season, his first with the Blues. He has already tied a career high with five shutouts.
The 26-year-old Elliott has allowed the fewest goals (36) and suffered the fewest losses among goaltenders with at least 20 starts. In addition, he has posted the league's top home record (9-1-1 at Scottrade Center).
"Brian came in here and helped stabilize our goaltending and make it one of the top tandems in the NHL," said Blues executive vice president and general manager Doug Armstrong. "Having Brian and Jaro signed through the '13-'14 season our goaltending is set. Along with Ben Bishop and Jake Allen in Peoria, our depth at goaltender has never been stronger."
In 164 career games (151 starts) with the Senators, Avalanche and Blues, Elliott has posted a 76-58-17 record along with a 2.72 GAA and .906 save percentage.
