Bills sign WR Sampson

The Buffalo Bills signed wide receiver DeMarco Sampson to an undisclosed contract and waived defensive back Vernon Kearney on Thursday.

Sampson, a seventh-round draft choice of the Arizona Cardinals in 2011, appeared in 12 games during his rookie season, making three catches for 36 yards.

He was released by Arizona prior to the 2012 regular season and joined the Philadelphia Eagles in January of 2013 before being released in May.

The San Diego State product caught 146 passes for 2,242 yards and 18 touchdowns for the Aztecs and earned All-Mountain West honors twice.
