Orchard Park, NY – Buffalo Bills cornerback Terrence man roster on Tuesday to add depth in the secondary.
Cornerback Aaron Williams was carted off on a stretcher with a chest injury in Sunday's 34-31 win over the Patriots. He is expected to be out for a month.
Terrence McGee, another corner, is out with a hamstring injury he suffered in a Week 1 win over the Chiefs.
Wheatley was a second-round selection by New England in the 2008 NFL draft. He has recorded four tackles in 12 career games with the Patriots and Jaguars.
To make room for Wheatley on the roster, the team released tight end David Martin.
