Bills coach Gailey focused on season finale, and not on uncertain offseason
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. – Buffalo Bills coach Chan Gailey has put off questions about his job security, and that of starting quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, for another week.
He's focused on preparing the Bills (5-10) for their season finale against the New York Jets (6-9) on Sunday rather than the uncertain offseason that lies ahead.
Gailey, on Monday, deflected questions about whether he's made the case for coming back for a fourth season. And he's sticking with Fitzpatrick for at least one more game by saying the third-year starter gives them the best shot at winning.
That's not much consolation for a team that's lost seven of nine, is guaranteed its fourth consecutive year with 10 or more losses, and will miss the playoffs for a 13th straight season.
