Bethune-Cookman beats Carver Bible College 87-64

C.J. Reed scored 18 points to lead four Bethune-Cookman players in double figures as the Wildcats topped Carver Bible College 87-64 Tuesday night.

The Wildcats (6-8) started hot offensively, with Garrius Holloman nailing his first three shots and the team hitting its first six. It all led to Bethune-Cookman notching a 12-point lead, 18-6, with 15:25 left before halftime

Holloman and Alexander Starling scored 17 points each for the Wildcats, with Kevin Dukes adding a career-high 16 points.

The Cougars (0-15), an NCCAA Division I team, trailed 60-36 with 16:48 left.

Carver Bible, which dressed only eight players, was led by 20 points from Bernard Parks, 17 from James Barbee and 12 from Sean Stringfellow.

Parks and Barbee had hot hands in the second half, enabling the Cougars to tighten the margin to 13 points, 70-57, with 9:30 to go. But they could get no closer.
