Two weeks into the season and the Bengals' offense is the best in the league, according to Pro Football Focus. And their defense isn't too shabby at No. 6.

The Bengals are the only team in the NFL with grades in the top six for both sides of the ball. The offense ranks just above New England and Pittsburgh, thanks to a strong 33-point performance in Oakland and an efficient 24-19 win over San Diego.

Yes, it's only two games, but quarterback Andy Dalton has more weapons at his disposal than he's had in his entire career. A.J. Green is one of the best receivers in the game, and tight end Tyler Eifert is already proving to be a force on the inside. Receivers Marvin Jones and Mohamed Sanu are valuable complementary pieces should see more balls coming their way as the season progresses.

Add in running backs Jeremy Hill and Giovani Bernard, and this unit is set up to do plenty more damage than it did in 2014, when injuries took to Green, Jones and Eifert took their toll.

If the defense can continue its upward trajectory, the Bengals may finally have enough balance to get over the playoff hump.
