The Cincinnati Bengals' 24-17 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday proved to be costly, as cornerback Leon Hall suffered a torn Achilles.

Hall limped off the field late in the first half and did not return. He was placed on injured reserve on Monday.

The club's 2007 first-round pick, Hall, has never missed a game in his five- year, 73-game career.

The Michigan product had 32 tackles and two interceptions in nine contests this season.

The Bengals also placed practice squad linebacker DeQuin Evans on IR and signed cornerback Brandon Ghee to the active roster.
