Cincinnati, OH – The Cincinnati Bengals activated cornerback man roster more than a year after he last played a down.
Jones returned to practice Monday, exactly a year to the day since suffering a herniated disc in his neck during a game in Atlanta, leading to two surgical procedures on his neck.
Despite practicing all week, Jones was listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Seattle, the team said.
Cincinnati is 4-2 and coming off a bye week.
Jones, 28, has shown flashes of the talent that made him the No. 6 overall pick in the 2005 draft by the Tennessee Titans.
But he has played just 44 games in parts of four NFL seasons over six years while dealing with a slew of off-the-field legal troubles and multiple league suspensions.
Jones was involved in a Las Vegas strip club shooting in 2007 and was arrested in July for misdemeanor disorderly conduct while intoxicated and resisting arrest after an incident at a downtown Cincinnati bar. He pleaded not guilty.
He has 160 tackles, five interceptions and a sack in his career. Four of those interceptions came in 2006 with the Titans, including one he returned 83 yards for a touchdown.
