Lake Forest, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Chicago Bears signed defensive back Kelvin Hayden to a one-year contract on Friday.

Hayden was a training camp casualty last summer, tearing his hamstring and spending the season on injured reserve.

The 30-year-old joined the Bears in 2012 and played in all 16 games with two starts. He recorded 40 tackles with an interception that season.

Hayden has compiled 345 tackles and 12 interceptions in 101 career games with Chicago, Atlanta and Indianapolis.
