Baylor remained the top team in the latest Associated Press women's college basketball poll.

The Lady Bears returned to the top spot last week and solidified their hold this week, receiving 34 first-place votes -- two more than last week -- and a total of 991 points from a nationwide media panel.

Notre Dame remained second, while Connecticut and Duke kept their places at third and fourth, respectively. The Fighting Irish picked up one first-place vote, while UConn earned two top tallies and Duke -- still the only unbeaten among the four -- garnered three.

Kentucky moved up one place to fifth, swapping placed with Stanford. California, which split a pair of games with the Cardinal last week, held at No. 7, while Penn State, Tennessee and Maryland again completed the top 10.

The second 10 consists of North Carolina, Purdue, Georgia, UCLA, Louisville, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Dayton, South Carolina and Texas A&M. Oklahoma State and Dayton each moved up four places.

Colorado, Florida State, Kansas, Iowa State and Michigan are the last five teams ranked. Kansas tumbled six spots from 17th after losses to Oklahoma State and Baylor.

Michigan is the lone newcomer, replacing Miami-Florida.
