Baylor finishes atop final women's hoops poll

Baylor was a unanimous choice as the top team in the final women's college basketball poll, released Monday by the Associated Press.

The Lady Bears won the Big 12 Tournament and received all 40 first-place votes for a total of 1,000 points from a nationwide media panel. Baylor was an undisputed top pick for the fourth straight week and the No. 1 team for the final 11 polls.

Riding a 30-game winning streak since a two-point loss to Stanford in November, Baylor will enter this year's NCAA Tournament in similar fashion to last year. The Lady Bears were also the top-ranked team in the final poll last year before going on to complete an undefeated season with a national championship.

The entire top-25 remained unchanged from last week.

Notre Dame, Connecticut, Stanford, Duke, California, Kentucky, Penn State, Texas A&M and Tennessee rounded out the top 10.

The second 10 consisted of UCLA, Maryland, North Carolina, Georgia, Delaware, Louisville, South Carolina, Dayton, Colorado and Green Bay, while the last five teams ranked were Purdue, Syracuse, Iowa State, Nebraska and Florida State.
