Munich, Germany – Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng has match suspension after being sent off in his team's 2-1 defeat to Hannover on Sunday.
Boateng received a red card for hitting out at Hannover's Christian Schultz as players from both teams came together following a tackle by Bayern's Rafinha on Sergio Pinto.
The suspension means that Boateng will miss a home game with Nurnberg next weekend as well as a November 6 contest at Augsburg.
Boateng has started eight of Bayern's 10 games in league play this season.
