Bayern Munich closes in on Vidal signing from Juventus

MUNICH (AP) Bayern Munich says it's close to signing Chile midfielder Arturo Vidal from Italian champion Juventus.

Chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said during a trip to China on Thursday that Bayern has agreed terms with both Juventus and Vidal. He added in comments posted on Bayern's website: ''All that is missing are the medical and the signature on the contract.''

Rummenigge added that the 28-year-old Vidal could start training with Bayern next week.

Vidal scored 15 goals and set up 21 more in 117 league games over four seasons for Bayer Leverkusen before leaving for Juventus in 2011. He helped Juventus to four consecutive Serie A titles.
