Averkamp leads balanced Loyola Chicago scoring attack in 64-41 victory against Rockhurst

Ben Averkamp had 16 points and seven rebounds to lead Loyola Chicago to a 64-41 victory against Rockhurst on Monday night.

Averkamp was the only player in double figures for the Ramblers (2-0), who had 10 players score. Matt O'Leary, Jeff White and Tanner Williams added eight points each.

David Wingerson had 10 points to lead the Division II Hawks (0-1).

Loyola Chicago never trailed and led 22-15 at halftime. The Ramblers pulled away by shooting 60.7 percent (17 for 28) from the floor in the second half.
