Avalanche bury Sharks in shootout

Denver, CO – Gabriel Landeskog scored the winner in the 3 win over the San Jose Sharks.

Matt Duchene, Daniel Winnik and Stefan Elliott each scored for the Avs, who were coming off a 0-3-0 road trip, but have now won four straight at home. Semyon Varlamov stopped 27 shots in the win.

Dan Boyle had a goal and an assist while Jamie McGinn and Patrick Marleau also scored for the Sharks, who have dropped three straight and five of six. Antti Niemi turned aside 30-of-33 shots in the loss.
