The Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday signed free-agent forward Harry Zolnierczyk from Brown University to a entry-level contract that will begin at the start of the 2011-12 season.

Zolnierczyk, 23, just completed a four-year career at Brown. He was the captain of the Bears in his senior season and was named Ivy League Player of the Year, while also earning ECAC Player of the Week honors twice this season. Zolnierczyk scored 16 goals and 15 assists for 31 points -- he led the Bruins in goals and tied for the team lead in scoring. 

In 114 career games during his four seasons at Brown, Zolnierczyk recorded 30 goals and 39 assists for 69 points, along with 238 penalty minutes.

Thrashers recall Postma -- The Atlanta Thrashers on Tuesday recalled defenseman Paul Postma from the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League.

Postma, 22, has appeared in 64 games for the Wolves this season, and leads all Chicago defensemen with 11 goals, 30 assists and 41 points -- ranking in the top-10 among AHL defensemen in all three categories. In 127 career AHL games with Chicago, Postma has 70 points (26 goals and 44 assists). He was recalled by the Thrashers once this season (Feb. 14), but did not appear in a game.

The 6-3, 195-pound defenseman has tallied 70 points (26 goals, 44 assists) in 127 career AHL games over two seasons with the Wolves. The Red Deer, Alta., native was selected by the Thrashers in the seventh round (No. 205) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

Ottawa inks junior forward -- The Ottawa Senators on Tuesday signed free-agent forward Wacey Hamilton to a three-year entry-level contract.

Hamilton, 20, is his fourth season with the Western Hockey League's Medicine Hat Tigers. In 65 games this season, he has 20 goals and recorded career highs in assists (52), points (72) and penalty minutes (113). Hamilton has served as the Tigers' team captain in each of the last two seasons.

The 6-foot, 177-pound center has scored 61 goals, added 131 assists and recorded 372 penalty minutes in 232 career games with Medicine Hat. In 28 career playoff games, he has 5 goals and 13 points.
