Armwood to transfer from Villanova

Villanova, PA – Forward Isaiah Armwood, who was going to start his junior year at Villanova next week, has decided to leave the men's basketball program.

Armwood, who played 60 games for the Wildcats since enrolling in 2009 and earned eight starting assignments, plans to transfer to another university to complete his remaining eligibility.

"I love Villanova - the school and the team - but I want to find a program that fits my style of play better," Armwood said.

He started in seven of the 31 games he appeared in during the 2010-11 season and averaged 2.5 points, 3.6 rebounds and 17.4 minutes per outing.
