Anselmi to resign from Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment

Toronto, ON – Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Ltd. announced on Friday that its chief operating officer, Tom Anselmi, will resign from his post effective one week from today.

Anselmi was appointed chief operating officer of the group which oversees operation of the Toronto Maple Leafs of the NHL, Toronto Marlies of the AHL and Toronto Raptors of the NBA, back in 2004. He joined the organization in December of 1996.

"The entire organization, including our ownership group, is grateful to Tom for his many contributions to the success of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment over the years," said Tim Leiweke, president and CEO of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment.
