Rangers Ballpark was once again the scene of a fall involving a spectator.

On Saturday, an unidentified adult male fell on a stairwell adjacent to the home plate gate at the stadium.

A release issued by the club following an 8-4 loss to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim said the fan received immediate attention after falling, was transported to a nearby hospital and was being treated for his injuries.

Of course, the more tragic event occurred on July 7, when firefighter Shannon Stone fell to his death during a game against Oakland. He was reaching for a foul ball thrown his way by Texas left fielder Josh Hamilton in the second inning and tumbled approximately 20 feet from the left field lower reserved seats to the area behind the left field wall.

Stone and his six-year-old son, Cooper, were honored with a full-size bronze statue.
