Ankle injuries sideline Celtics' Garnett, Lee; Grizzlies' Gasol out with abdominal tear

The Celtics said Kevin Garnett and Courtney Lee are expected to miss Saturday night's game against the Memphis Grizzlies with left ankle injuries.

The Grizzlies said center Marc Gasol will sit out with an abdominal tear, and coach Lionel Hollins said forward Zach Randolph won't start because of an internal matter.

Randolph is the team's leading rebounder at 11.6 boards. In the past, he has sat out the start of games for being late to practice or a shootaround.

Boston coach Doc Rivers didn't know when Garnett hurt his ankle. The Celtics second-leading scorer at 14.9 points, he had 16 points and 12 rebounds in Boston's 104-94 loss at Dallas on Friday night.

Lee, a 6-foot-5 guard, crumpled to the court with 1:21 left in the game after spraining his ankle.
