The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have activated reliever Kevin Jepsen from the 15-day disabled list.

Jepsen made six appearances before being shut down in mid-April with a right shoulder strain. He allowed four runs and five hits in 3 2/3 innings prior to landing on the DL.

To make room for Jepsen on the roster, the Angels designated pitcher Billy Buckner for assignment.

Buckner made his season debut on Saturday, limiting the Kansas City Royals to two hits over five innings of a 7-0 win. It was the right-hander's first start in the majors since 2010.
