Detroit Lions rookie running back Ameer Abdullah was eager to prove his worth any way that he could against the San Diego Chargers this past Sunday. He took some handoffs, caught some passes and returned a few kickoffs.

At the end of the outing, Abdullah had over 50 rushing yards, 40 receiving yards and 100 kickreturn yards. As a result, the rookie became the first player since "at least 1960" to reach all three of those milestones in the same game, according to Pro Football Talk's Michael David Smith.

Abdullah finished with exactly 199 all-purpose yards. He displayed valuable versatility in his first regular-season showing, as the spotlight on Detroit's 22-year-old playmaker continues to shine brighter.
