Undrafted rookie DeAndrew White made an impression on the coaching staff early in training camp.
But it was no surprise to former teammate, Amari Cooper, to see White make the 49ers 53-man roster.
"He's a very talented player," Cooper said, via ESPN. "He goes and high-points the ball [and] is a very good route runner, really fast."
White is still in competition with Bruce Ellington and Quinton Patton for the No. 3 wide receiver spot, along with Ellington and Jarryd Hayne for a role on special teams.
But he's shown enough in the early going to warrant a further look from the 49ers.
