Real Madrid defender Raul Albiol sustained a fractured cheekbone during training with Spain on Sunday.

Albiol suffered a blow to the face during the training session and has been ruled out of Spain's final Euro 2012 qualifier on Tuesday against Scotland, with Spain having already secured qualification.

A statement from Real Madrid read: "Raul Albiol was injured today in Spain's morning training session at Las Rozas, when he suffered a blow to the face. He has fractured his left cheekbone, which means he has had to leave the squad and will miss the game against Scotland."

No timetable was given for the return of the 26-year-old, who has started two games in La Liga this season after making 20 league appearances for the club last term.
