Alabama coach Nick Saban says Crimson Tide players got their acts together after a rough start to the offseason.

Saban said Saturday that more players were skipping classes in the weeks after Alabama won its second straight national championship.

Then four players were arrested and ultimately dismissed from school in connection with two robberies on campus.

Saban says "when guys have entitlement, you see a little slippage."

He says things turned around after Alabama's offseason conditioning program started. The Tide opened spring practice on Saturday with those issues apparently resolved but some questions to answer on the field, too.

Three offensive players are experimenting at cornerback, including starting receiver Christion Jones. Plus there's eight mid-year enrollees, three new coaches and the latest wave of departed NFL prospects to replace.
