Ajaccio, France – Ajaccio made its first signing of the January transfer window on Wednesday, inking Brazilian forward Eduardo from Lens on a deal that runs until June 2013.
The 31-year-old joins an Ajaccio side that sits on the bottom of Ligue 1 with just 20 goals scored in 19 games.
Eduardo played for both Flamengo and Joinville in Brazil as well as Swiss side Grasshoppers before moving to France in January 2007, where he scored 22 goals in two-and-a-half seasons with Guingamp in Ligue 2.
Ajaccio is three points from safety and will resume its season on January 14 against Auxerre.
