Jamie Adams had 23 points, seven steals and five assists as Florida A&M got its first win of the season, defeating Presbyterian 69-55 Saturday at the Las Vegas Invitational.

Jamari Bradshaw added 12 points for the Rattlers (1-5), who used two big scoring runs to pull out the victory. Florida A&M closed the first half on a 13-3 run to pull within 34-33, then scored 17 straight points midway through the second half to take command of the game. Adams had two 3-pointers during the 17-0 surge, including the capper that put the Rattlers ahead 54-40 with 10:05 remaining.

Presbyterian (0-6) got 14 points from Joshua Clyburn, 13 from Khalid Mutakabbir and 10 from Ryan McTavish. The Blue Hose committed 25 turnovers, including nine from Mutakabbir, and missed all five of their 3-point attempts in the second half after making 3 of 4 before the break.
