Actress Tea Leoni was honored by the WNBA with the league's Inspiration Award for her work with UNICEF on Monday.

Leoni, who starred in "Spanglish," ''The Family Man," and "Deep Impact," has been an ambassador for the organization for the past decade helping children. Her grandmother was a co-founder of the U.S. Committee for UNICEF — now the U.S. Fund — and served as its president for 25 years.

Previous winners of the award include former Secretaries of State Madeleine Albright and Condoleezza Rice, Robin Roberts and former U.S. Ambassador to the UN Susan Rice.

The league also honored NBA official Violet Palmer with their Pioneer Award. Palmer has been an NBA official since 1997.
