NEWCASTLE, Australia (AP) Newcastle Jets have signed Serbian striker Milos Trifunovic for the new A-League season, completing the club's foreign contingent.
The 30-year-old Trifunovic joins the Jets from Serbian club Radnicki Nis, having previously played in China, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
He is Newcastle's fifth overseas player, joining Brazilian midfielder Leonardo, fellow Serbian Enver Alivodic, former Western Sydney midfielder Mateo Poljak of Croatia and South Korean defender Lee Ki-je.
The Jets open the 2015-16 season on Oct. 11 against Wellington Phoenix in the New Zealand capital.
