San Francisco 49ers running back Brandon Jacobs could be healthy enough for the team's regular-season opener against the Green Bay Packers on Sept. 9.

Jacobs was carried off the field with a knee injury during Saturday's preseason matchup with the Houston Texans. But according to multiple reports, an MRI exam revealed no structural damage to his left knee.

San Francisco coach Jim Harbaugh said Monday that "it's possible" that Jacobs will be ready for Week 1.

The 30-year-old Jacobs is in his first season with the 49ers after spending seven years with the New York Giants.
