Shedeur Sanders opened as the favorite to be the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, but his odds have already taken a dip less than a week after the line opened.

The Colorado quarterback's odds to be the top pick have lengthened, moving to +350 after opening at +100.

It's unclear if there's a specific reason for the change in his odds, but the Colorado program came under fire this week after a report from The Athletic detailed how coach Deion Sanders cut players ahead of the 2023 season.

The report led to several exchanges on social media, with current and former Colorado players exchanging messages with each other. Sanders joined the fracas to defend his father.

"Ion even remember him tbh. Bro had to be very mid at best," Sanders wrote in a post replying to a quote from a former Colorado player claiming that the coach was "destroying guys' confidence."

Despite his odds lengthening, Sanders is still the favorite to be the No. 1 pick in the 2025 draft at DraftKings Sportsbook.

Let's take a look at the latest odds.

FOX Sports' Keyshawn Johnson said this week that Sanders' recent social media action isn't hurting his draft stock.

"Spencer Rattler ain't nowhere near the quarterback Shedeur's gonna end up being," Johnson said on the "All Facts, No Brakes" podcast, referring to a report that Rattler fell to the fifth round in the 2024 draft due to character concerns. "So, I understand the question. But it won't hurt his stock one bit.

"There's so much information [on the draft] that guys who are currently playing in the NFL at the same position and others that went high in the draft with questionable social media tactics and it didn't drop [their stock]. They've all gone on to have successful NFL careers."

T.J. Houshmandzadeh agreed with Johnson on Sanders' draft stock, but he wasn't a fan of the quarterback's social media actions.

"It's not going to affect him," Houshmandzadeh said on "All Facts, No Brakes." "Me personally, I don't like that he said that because you're the quarterback of the team."

Sanders was statistically one of the best quarterbacks in the nation in his first season in the FBS last year, completing 69.3% of his passes for 3,230 yards, 27 touchdowns and three interceptions.

FOX Sports NFL Draft expert Rob Rang has Sanders going ninth in his first 2025 NFL mock draft, being the second quarterback off the board.

"Despite what his gaudy statistics suggest, Sanders won't be a fit for every team," Rang wrote. "But his awareness, accuracy, touch and mobility makes him one of the more intriguing dual-threat quarterbacks in college football."

Beyond Sanders, quarterbacks also make up the field of favorites to go No. 1. Three quarterbacks were selected with the first three picks in this year's draft and a record six quarterbacks were selected with the first 12 picks of the draft.
