A spare limousine in the presidential motorcade got stuck after bottoming out near the top of the driveway at the U.S. embassy in Dublin as the president and first lady headed to the small, Irish town of Moneygall. The Obamas were not in the car that got stuck and the motorcade was rerouted and continued on its way.

"Departing the US Embassy - Dublin, the Secret Service Spare Limousine, carrying staff and support personnel only, bottomed out at the top of the driveway rendering the vehicle inoperable," the Secret Service said in an email to Fox News. "Occupants were relocated into other vehicles and the motorcade departed out another exit without further incident. No injuries."

The Secret Service does detailed checks to head off logistical problems before the president arrives at a location but miscalculated the low-riding limo's (nicknamed the Beast) ability to make it across the peak at the end of the embassy's drive.

"The size of our vehicles is always an issue and taken into consideration during the advance process," the Secret Service statement continues. "However, it only takes a slight miscalculation for problem like this to occur. Appropriate follow-up will be conducted."

An amateur video uploaded to YouTube appears to show the limousine coming to a sudden, scraping stop as it crested the hill to exit the embassy.
