POWER PLAY VIDEO: House Republican Admits Lack of Unity within Party

It would be hard to count on two hands the number of ideas coming out of Washington to fix the debt ceiling crisis, and Friday a House Republican admitted that while Speaker John Boehner has found support within the GOP conference, the group is not unified behind a single idea.

Rep. Shelley Moore Capito, a Republican from West Virginia who sits on the Financial Services Committee, was one of 234 who voted for a plan Tuesday called Cut, Cap and Balance - a Republican-lead effort to demand a certain amount of budget cuts, cap the amount of spending at specific levels and send a balanced budget amendment to the states for ratification.

The lack of unification Capito speaks of centers around the nine members of the caucus who voted ‘no' Tuesday and "absolutely will not ever vote for a debt limit increase:" Members like presidential candidates Reps. Michele Bachmann and Ron Paul.

Capito told Power Play Live that Boehner spent time Friday morning meeting with the caucus in an effort to hear the differing views and hopes House Republicans can regroup and find a solution. She also discussed the Senate's decision to kill the same Cut, Cap and Balance legislation Friday - something that Majority Leader Harry Reid called the single worst piece of legislation ever to hit the Senate floor.
