Florida Sen. Marco Rubio reportedly is backing out of a big agriculture-themed summit on Saturday.

Rubio, who originally said he'd attend the Iowa Ag Summit, told the Des Moines Register he has a prior commitment of a family wedding, and will not be able to make it to both.

He reportedly may try to send a video that could be played during the summit, which is attracting a host of potential 2016 presidential candidates.

Others who plan to be in attendance are: former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum; Texas Sen. Ted Cruz; former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush; Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker; former Texas Gov. Rick Perry; and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.

Rubio says he still plans to stay visible in Iowa.

“If I run for president, my intention is to win Iowa, to do whatever it takes to spend as much time and energy there as is necessary to be a winner," he told the Register. "We haven't made that final decision yet, but if we do Iowa can expect to see me early and often."
