House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, praised the efforts of President Obama and the Special Operations Forces team responsible for killing Usama bin Laden in a daring attack Sunday afternoon.

Boehner told reporters Monday that the terror mastermind's death serves as a reminder to Americans that "what unites us is far greater than what divides us, and last night unified us."

He added that just as the events of September 11th united Americans in grief, the death of bin Laden unites the nation in triumph.

"To the families who lost loved ones on September 11, 2001, we will never forget what you lost. For those who fought and died in the war against terror and their loved ones, we honor your sacrifice," Boehner said, "to those who seek to destroy freedom, we will not rest until we bring you to justice."

Though the Pakistani government has come under pressure from many lawmakers for its recent efforts in the War on Terror, Boehner stressed that cooperating with the nation is more important now than ever before.
