An aide to Vice President Biden says the VP was *not* urging Democrats to sit out the election by saying they may as well vote Republican when he was on a Cleveland radio station Tuesday, but only was saying if Republicans take control of Congress it would mean a return to policies of the Bush administration.

In a radio interview Tuesday afternoon, Biden reportedly told a WENZ in Cleveland, OH "Don't vote, or vote Republican" but Biden's aide says the VP did not mean for people to stay home on election day. Both Biden and President Obama have done a number of radio interviews in the past few days, urging people to get out and vote Tuesday.

Biden called into WENZ and a Columbus, OH radio station urging people to vote for Gov. Ted Strickland. Polls have officially closed in Ohio, but Fox News says the race for Governor is too close to call.
