Karin Ruhkala is a suburban, Christian mom of three school-aged boys. She grew up in Finland until age 19 when she left to attend college in the United States. Ruhkala experienced socialism in the shadow of the former Soviet Union, where parents abdicated to government responsibilities for their children’s education and healthcare.
