Taylor Swift fan ‘not fully sold’ on wedding ceremony being held at Madison Square Garden

Taylor Swift superfan Olivia Levin told Fox News Digital that she’s "not fully sold" on the idea that the superstar is getting married at Madison Square Garden.

“Obviously, something's happening at Madison Square Garden,” the best-selling author of “The Story of Us” told Fox News Digital. “If I had to guess, I would think it's probably a celebration like a big party with a concert and, you know, some fairytale-esque design on the inside, like, you're not gonna know you're in Madison Square Garden.”

She continued, “I'm not fully sold on there being a ceremony there, you know? I really think it is mostly a celebration.”

Levin said she wouldn’t be surprised if Swift had already gotten married to Travis Kelce privately.

“Or that's just going to be a separate thing and no one's going to know about that,” she suggested. “So... if I had to guess, it's probably just going to be one massive celebration with 1,000 people.”

Taylor Swift superfan said meeting the pop star ‘one of the best’ moments of her life

Taylor Swift superfan Olivia Levin told Fox News Digital that meeting the pop star was one of the best of her life.

So that experience was, it was one of the best of my life,” Levin, the author of “The Story of Us,” told Fox News Digital. “Truly, I brought my mom, and we went to Taylor's Holiday House in Watch Hill, Rhode Island, and spent the night with her and her family and some other fans.”

Levin said despite the old adage that people shouldn’t meet their heroes because they never live up to expectations, “She totally blew every expectation I had of her out of the water.”

“She was just so kind and when you're talking to her, she's locked in,” Levin continued. “Like the eye contact, she doesn't – doesn't matter if someone else is trying to talk to her. If she's with you, she is in that moment. And she's just so kind, and my biggest takeaway was, wow, she just a girl, like a normal girl.”

She said it blew her mind in that moment to think of her superstar status and how people care so much what she thinks and does. “But just being there, talking to her, I'm like, ‘Oh my God, she is just another one of us. She just happens to have talent, like an extreme level of talent and people love her music.’ But that was my big takeaway.”

“Her family has kept her so grounded and I hope that every fan gets the chance to meet her because they would all have the same opinion,” she said. “I've never heard a bad thing about her from people who have met her.”

Levin’s recently published book: “The Story of Us: How the Taylor Swift Fandom Changed Our Lives” is “about why the Swiftie fandom is the way it is, you know, how it's evolved over time the last two decades.”

Levin believes Swifties are so steadfast because for “two decades, Taylor was letting us in to her life, you know? Through her stories, her lyrics, and they were so detailed and so vulnerable and honest that it made her so relatable for millions of people.”

Through her music, she said, fans felt like they got to know her.

“You know, we were there with her listening to her, the trials and tribulations of going through life, you know, the ups and downs, the failed relationships, the friendship breakups, like all the hardships that she's gone through that, you know we all experience as well throughout our lifetime,” Levin said.

She said, “It's so nice finally seeing her get her happy ending. We've been rooting for her for so long, just like we're rooting for ourselves to find our person, you know for those of us who haven't. So I feel like Taylor and Travis's love story kind of give people hope.”

NY officials knew Taylor Swift wedding plan for months

The AP noted that the application included requests for “full street closures” on July 3 and 4, under the subject line: “Wedding Bells Are Ringing.”

What will Taylor Swift wear to marry Travis Kelce?

Taylor Swift's veil of secrecy remains strong surrounding her reported Friday wedding at Madison Square Garden.

When it comes down to her wedding gown, Swift may go for a "floral-inspired" dress to walk down the aisle.

"For her ceremony, I’d bet on Taylor choosing either a floral-inspired lace gown or a clean silk satin look," The Bold & Bridal founder and stylist, Samantha Levis, told Fox News Digital.

"I really would not rule out tulle either! From a design perspective, each of these elements aligns with her whimsical, dramatic and romantic aesthetic that defines both her personal style and music."

The co-owner of NWD Bridal also noted that Swift, 36, is a big fan of Vivienne Westwood, and she "wouldn’t be surprised to see a nod to the house’s signature design language."

She added, "Think striking corseted bodice and elegant draping, hallmarks of Vivienne Westwood, but interpreted in more theatrical way, likely paired with a voluminous skirt."

Taylor Swift's rumored wedding sparks holiday weekend etiquette debate for guests

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding — rumored to be taking place on July 3 as part of the long holiday weekend — is not a surprise.

The popular occasion has long been part of Swift lore, thanks to headline-making July 4 parties at her Rhode Island estate.

But with the ceremony and reception reportedly so close to July 4, the timing has fueled an etiquette debate: Should marrying couples ask their guests to give up a prime summer holiday weekend just for them?

"Holiday weekends often mean higher travel costs, crowded airports and giving up time with family. But every couple has the right to choose a date that's meaningful to them," California-based etiquette expert Lisa Mirza Grotts told Fox News Digital.

"Celebrity weddings are naturally different," she added. "Many guests will gladly rearrange their schedules for an event of this significance."

Swift and Kelce are reportedly hosting a rehearsal dinner-style event for 100 guests Thursday at MSG's Infosys Theater, before a rumored 1,000-person celebration on Friday at the venue.

Taylor Swift's reported wedding celebration gets climate-control twist after mayor's request

The world's most famous arena reportedly isn't taking temperature requests.

Guests attending Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's reported multi-day wedding celebration apparently won't have to worry about breaking a sweat.

According to TMZ, sources familiar with the air-conditioning system at Madison Square Garden said there is no thermostat inside the arena, meaning organizers can't simply adjust the indoor temperature to 78 degrees as New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani suggested as the city deals with a heat wave.

Instead, the outlet reported that the venue's climate is controlled automatically. The system determines the arena's temperature based on conditions outside the building rather than a manually selected setting.

The report comes after Mamdani publicly urged all five boroughs of the city to thermostats set at 78 degrees to help reduce strain on NYC's power grid amid soaring summer heat.

TMZ also reported that event organizers aren't concerned about potential power issues tied to the event. Madison Square Garden has multiple generators on standby that would keep operations running until the event's reported 2 a.m. end time if necessary, according to sources.

Taylor Swift's rumored wedding dress? Expert says one style would be 'shocking'

Taylor Swift has inspired countless fashion trends over the years, but one bridal expert believes there are still a few wedding looks the pop superstar would never embrace.

As speculation continues to swirl around Swift and Travis Kelce's reported wedding, one bridal expert shared the styles that would genuinely surprise her if the pop superstar walked down the aisle wearing them.

“I would be shocked if I saw her wearing the off the shoulder gloves, like the off the shoulder long sleeve, that would shock me for Taylor," Talya Bendel, bridal and costume designer, told Fox News Digital.

“It doesn't feel like her… And I don't think any stylist would put that on her," she added.

The expert also ruled out another popular bridal silhouette.

“I would be shocked if I saw her in a mermaid look," Bendel emphasized.

Instead, the designer predicted Swift would lean into a more timeless aesthetic for the ceremony before making a dramatic outfit change for the reception.

"Out of her multiple looks, definitely big princess for the ceremony," she said. "I think for the after-party... she's going to go flapper. I think she's going to have a 1920s cap with lace and beads... and then a beautiful white number with beaded fringe for the dance part of the wedding."

Taylor Swift's engagement ring: what to know about $1M bauble

Taylor Swift was bejeweled from the start when Travis Kelce proposed in August.

"Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married," Swift shared on Instagram at the time.

In the photos shared online, Kelce could be seen down on one knee as Swift caressed his face during the intimate moment.

The massive old mine brilliant cut diamond (a rectangle-cut diamond with antique references) is estimated to cost upwards of $1 million.

The bauble was designed by Kindred Lubeck, a New York City–based jewelry designer and founder of Artifex Fine Jewelry, a brand known for its vintage-inspired, handcrafted pieces.

Estimated to be between 7-10 carats, the stone isn't meant to be flashy but more of a romantic Victorian-inspired cut that was originally popular between the 1850s and 1920s.

Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce's wedding could unleash unprecedented global spending frenzy: expert

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are expected to tie the knot this Friday in a lavish ceremony at Madison Square Garden in New York City, with experts saying the event could set off an unprecedented spending frenzy.

"The economic value isn't generated by access to the wedding," brand innovator Sunny Bonnell said. "It's generated by participation in the cultural moment."

Other experts in the field shared that even if they weren’t invited to the event could benefit from the wedding, simply by being associated with Swift.

"Anyone or anything associated with the wedding, from the city, venue, hotel, restaurants, florists, stylists, designers, could see a major visibility boost," strategic communications expert Kelcey Kintner told Fox News Digital. "At this point, even proximity to her brand can become its own form of currency. And let’s be honest, we are all excited to see what this wedding looks like whenever details are shared."

Kintner, Senior VP at Red Banyan PR, pointed out that the power of the Swift effect was visible with the release of her latest album, “Life of a Showgirl,” “when brands started posting their own orange, sparkly versions of their logos to tap into the conversation.”

Bar owner near rumored Taylor Swift wedding has message for superstar couple

A bar owner near Madison Square Garden is questioning why local businesses could be left footing the bill if Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's reported wedding disrupts the neighborhood.

As preparations continue around the iconic Manhattan venue, one nearby business owner said he's worried the increased security and street closures could keep customers away during what would otherwise be a busy weekend.

The owner said city officials have told businesses customers should still be able to access the area, but he's skeptical after a previous experience during a New York Knicks playoff game attended by President Donald Trump.

"That day they told us customers would be allowed as long as they were going to the bar and then they blockaded everything and let nobody here," he told the Associated Press. "And we sat with full staff, more than usual for the Knicks playoff game, and hardly anybody in the bar."

The owner said he's hoping history doesn't repeat itself if the reported wedding brings heightened security to the area.

But his biggest frustration is with who ultimately bears the cost.

"If they can afford to buy the permits, they can afford this big, lavish ceremony," he said. "Why don't they just buy out the local businesses instead of having us adversely affected?"

Swift and Kelce are reportedly tying the knot at Madison Square Garden on July 3.

The $26 million support spans organizations focused on fighting food insecurity, supporting children's hospitals and pediatric cancer care, expanding access to education and music programs, providing after-school opportunities for underserved youth, promoting childhood literacy, assisting first responders and protecting animals. The gifts also benefit local food banks and community organizations in cities with ties to the couple, including New York, Kansas City and Nashville.

The charitable giving reflects a commitment both stars have maintained throughout their careers. Swift has quietly donated millions to causes ranging from disaster relief and education to food insecurity, while Kelce has supported underserved youth through his Eighty-Seven & Running Foundation and other philanthropic efforts.

While it's unclear why Swift and Kelce chose the number 26, some fans may see a symbolic connection. Swift has long embraced 13 as her lucky number, and 26 is simply double that figure — a coincidence that could resonate with the couple as they begin this new chapter together.

Taylor Swift's famous Fourth of July parties paved the way for reported wedding to Travis Kelce

For years, Taylor Swift turned Independence Day into one of Hollywood's most exclusive traditions, hosting her famous Fourth of July parties at her waterfront home in Watch Hill, Rhode Island.

The annual gatherings became synonymous with the singer's star-studded "squad," drawing celebrities including Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Gigi Hadid, Cara Delevingne and members of the Haim sisters for weekends filled with matching swimsuits, backyard games and patriotic photo ops.

Now, that holiday has resurfaced in a much different way.

Reports claim Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce are planning to tie the knot on July 3 at New York City's Madison Square Garden, transforming a holiday once known for backyard parties into what could become one of the biggest celebrity weddings in recent memory.

The holiday appeared to take on a different meaning for Swift in 2023. On July 7, the singer shared photos from her Fourth of July celebration as she prepared to take the stage in Kansas City for her Eras Tour — the same night Kelce attended the concert that would ultimately change both of their lives.

"Happy belated Independence Day from your local neighborhood independent girlies," Swift captioned the post. "See you tonight Kansas Cityyy."

Kelce has repeatedly pointed to that Eras Tour stop as the moment he first wanted to meet Swift. After the show, he revealed on the "New Heights" podcast that he had hoped to give the pop superstar a friendship bracelet with his phone number, a story that later became part of the couple's now-famous love story.

Earlier this month, he raised eyebrows when he included "Taylor Swift's wedding" alongside other major New York City events while discussing preparations for the busy Fourth of July weekend. He later joked that he hadn't been invited but wished the couple well.

Travis Kelce's NFL inner circle keeps growing in New York City before reported Taylor Swift wedding

Former Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Shane Buechele and his wife, Paige, stepped out for a night in New York City just days before Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's reported wedding festivities are expected to begin.

Kelce and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes are part-owners of the restaurant Meduza Mediterrania where the two dined.

The timing of their appearance has drawn attention as speculation continues to swirl over Swift and Kelce's reported multi-day wedding celebration.

Paige Buechele is no stranger to Swift's inner circle. In 2023, she joined the pop superstar, Brittany Mahomes and several other Chiefs WAGs for a girls' night out in New York City after Swift began dating Kelce. Photos from the outing quickly made headlines as the group dined together in Manhattan.

Buechele spent the first four seasons of his NFL career with the Chiefs, serving as a backup quarterback while Kelce helped Kansas City win multiple Super Bowls.

It's unclear whether the Buecheles will attend Swift and Kelce's reported wedding celebration, but their White Party appearance comes as several of the couple's friends have been spotted traveling and attending high-profile events ahead of the rumored festivities.

Certified Swiftie Dave Portnoy sounds off on Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce's rumored wedding venue

Dave Portnoy weighed in on the swirling speculation surrounding Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's reported wedding, admitting he was surprised by reports the couple could tie the knot at New York City's Madison Square Garden instead of a more scenic destination.

The Barstool Sports founder said he initially believed rumors Swift and Kelce would choose Watch Hill, Rhode Island — where the pop superstar owns a home — before questioning why the pair would reportedly opt for the iconic Manhattan venue.

"I can't believe they're doing it here. I thought it was a rumor," he told Fox News. "I thought for sure she'd be a Watch Hill girl. That's where she's from, it’s beautiful… she has a place. I cannot believe they're doing Madison Square Garden."

"Listen, our office, Fox office near too. It's not the nicest area around Madison Square Garden," he added. "If we're being honest, you got drunks hanging out passed out on the outside. It's 110 degrees there. It wouldn't be my ideal place to have this magical wedding when you can get married anywhere in the world. So, it wouldn't be my first choice, that's for sure."

Celebrity matchmaker explains why Travis Kelce is the partner Taylor Swift has been 'singing about'

Alessandra Conti, Celebrity Matchmaker at Matchmakers in The City, is weighing in on why Travis Kelce is the “relationship that Taylor Swift has been singing about since she was a teenager.”

“Taylor and Travis are the textbook perfect couple, especially from my perspective as a Celebrity Matchmaker,” she told Fox News Digital. “It started with his clear and confident pursuit of her, and being 'matched' by his football coach (or so he takes credit for, adorably!).”

According to Conti, “he boldly and publicly expressed interest in her” when he said he had hoped to give Swift the friendship bracelet he made for her while at her Eras Tour show in Kansas City.

“She had just been through a brutal breakup that gave us the incredible and haunting ‘The Tortured Poets Department,’” she said. “Her ex, Joe Alwyn, was notoriously and infamously totally averse to any public sightings with her, which, in retrospect, is less charming and more baffling. If you are going to date arguably one of the most famous women in the world, you need to embrace the public and every aspect of her life.”

Swift first said Kelce was the man she has always been singing about when she appeared on the “New Heights” podcast in August 2025, while discussing the first time they met.

"So I was like, 'If this guy isn't crazy, which is a big if, this is sort of what I've been writing songs about wanting to happen to me since I was a teenager,'" she said on the podcast
