President Trump blasts Nobel Peace Prize snub with blistering list of accomplishments: 'WOW!'
President Donald Trump on Saturday criticized the Norwegian Nobel Committee for not selecting him for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize, citing a long list of accomplishments.
"I settled 8 WARS, am close to ending or settling 2 more, got all of the Israeli hostages back, including the final 28, both living and dead, had hundreds of hostages, from countries all over the World, released and sent back home, won a war in Venezuela, and captured the violent dictator who so viciously ran that country, and stopped the number one state sponsor of terror, the Islamic Republic of Iran, from obtaining a Nuclear Weapon — AND MUCH MORE! Yet, with all of that I, or the United States of America, did not get the Noble Peace Prize. WOW!" Trump wrote in a Truth Social post Saturday morning.
Trump has long openly pined for the prize, first receiving a nomination in 2018 from Norwegian lawmakers for diplomatic efforts involving North Korea and nuclear disarmament.
In 2019, he told reporters during a news conference, "I think I'm going to get a Nobel Prize for a lot of things if they gave it out fairly, which they don't."
While the Norwegian Nobel Committee does not publicly release a list of nominees for the Peace Prize, Trump has been nominated at least five times, according to the people who nominated him. That list includes former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzō Abe, who nominated Trump in 2019, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who nominated him in 2025.
Despite being nominated again this year by Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and others, Trump was passed over yet again, this time in favor of South African jurist Navi Pillay.
The 85-year-old Pillay was the first non-White woman appointed to South Africa's high court, and she later served as a judge at the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda and the International Criminal Court.
She also served as the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights from 2008 to 2014.

Israeli combat medicine slashes IDF deaths after Oct 7, draws US military interest
JERUSALEM — A growing number of Israeli army battlefield life-saving measures have emerged during the Iranian regime-backed multi-front war against the Jewish state, and those new technologies are helping the U.S. too.
Fox News Digital was briefed on the most current insights and data on Israel’s success rate in saving soldiers’ lives from a senior Israel Defense Forces (IDF) medical specialist in battlefield medicine.
The grueling Israeli ground offensive against the U.S.-designated terrorist movement Hamas in the Gaza Strip, which started in October 2023, after the organization’s invasion of Israel on Oct. 7, introduced cutting-edge medical tactics to the battlefield.
Hamas brutally murdered over 1,200 people in southern Israel, including more than 40 Americans, and kidnapped 251 people.
An IDF spokesman laid out the new advances, saying, "The IDF Medical Corps adapted its operational capabilities during the war, including casualty evacuation, innovative medical technologies and providing treatment under fire in a challenging terrain."
The IDF medical specialist told Fox News Digital that during "the Second War in Lebanon [in 2006 against the Lebanese-based terrorist group Hezbollah] it took 15 to 20 minutes for advanced life support to reach a casualty. Now, advanced life support can reach a casualty immediately or within four minutes."
The placement of "medical personnel on the battlefield, including a doctor in every company, allows the IDF to make critical decisions early on during the care process," the IDF medical specialist said.
The use of helicopters to deliver seriously wounded soldiers to medical facilities, as seen in video footage provided to Fox News Digital, plays a critical role in preventing death.
The second advance is, according to the IDF medical specialist, "rapid evacuation," which means "we can evacuate casualties to Israeli hospitals rapidly."
There has been "an emphasis on the use of blood products since 2013 on stopping bleeding," the IDF medical specialist said. He added that the IDF is the first medical organization that "used plasma on the point of injury instead of salt and water."

Iranian protester hanged hours after marrying his imprisoned fiancée over jail phone line
An Iranian anti-regime protester was hanged at dawn Oct. 5 inside Isfahan Central Prison, just hours after marrying his imprisoned fiancée over a jail phone line, The Times reported Thursday.
Alireza Sepahi, 25, was executed alongside co-defendant Alireza Raisi after being sentenced to death in the anti-government demonstrations at Isfahan’s Alikhani Square Jan. 8., according to Human Rights Iran.
Sepahi and his bride, student activist Mahshad Keshani, 22, knew and loved each other before being arrested during anti-regime demonstrations, the report said.
Keshani, who is serving a five-year sentence, pushed for an informal wedding Sunday as fears mounted that Sepahi’s execution was imminent after a final family summons.
The couple exchanged vows over the phone from inside Isfahan prison, joined by their fathers.
Human rights lawyer Amirsalar Davoudi facilitated the ceremony by reading the vows for the fathers to bless.
Keshani’s family gave a copy of the Quran, a saffron rock candy and a single red rose as a traditional dowry.
"It was Mahshad’s idea," Davoudi told The Times. "Even now, I wonder how one young woman can possess such courage."

Trump, Iran say midterm elections play no role in peace talks
President Donald Trump and the Iranian regime both say the upcoming Midterm Elections in the U.S. are playing no role in peace talks.
Trump has vowed that he will not carry out further military strikes on Iran before the elections take place.
During a campaigning rally on Friday, however, he warned that if Iran does not cooperate with U.S. demands after the election, Tehran will cease to exist.
“I will tell you what: Iran will be very quick one way or the other,” Trump told a crowd in New York. “Either they give us everything, or they don’t exist any longer.”
Meanwhile, Iranian officials insist the conflict will not end until the U.S. lifts the blockade on Iranian ports and ends sanctions on the Iranian economy.
Pence calls Trump’s diesel deal with Putin a ‘betrayal’ to Lindsey Graham, urges him to rescind it

Former Vice President Mike Pence criticized President Donald Trump’s decision to lift sanctions on Russian oil a “betrayal” to late Sen. Lindsey Graham’s legacy and urged the president to “rescind” it.
“President Trump’s decision to lift sanctions on Russian fuel amidst Putin’s ongoing and brutal attacks on civilian targets in Ukraine makes no sense and is a betrayal of the legacy and leadership of the late Senator Lindsey Graham,” Pence wrote in a lengthy X post.
The 67-year-old, who served as Trump’s vice president in his first term, added, “Instead of implementing the tough sanctions Lindsey Graham fought to his last breath to enact, President Trump has announced the United States is lifting sanctions on Russian energy, fueling the Putin’s war machine.
”Pence said he "saw firsthand in Ukraine last month" that “Putin is losing this war.”
“America should not be throwing a lifeline to Putin’s war machine. Now is the time to stand strong against Russian aggression as we did during the first Trump administration,” he implored.
He stressed: “Putin doesn’t want peace. Putin wants Ukraine. I have no doubt that if Putin overruns Ukraine, it will only be a matter of time until Russia’s military crosses a border that our troops will have to deal with him.”
“America is the Leader of the Free World,” he continued. “For our National Security, for the security of our Allies in Europe including Ukraine, President Trump should rescind this deal immediately and return to the strong policies of our four years in the White House; impose harsh sanctions on any nation purchasing Russian energy and work with our allies to ensure Ukraine has the military support it needs to repel and defeat this Russian invasion once and for all.”
Before the deal with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Trump was under pressure from Republicans to lower the price of diesel before the midterms.
On Friday, Trump announced that he and Putin had agreed in a phone call that Putin would release millions of tons of diesel fuel into the global market.
