NATICK, Mass. – Friends and strangers are rallying around a Massachusetts woman whose husband died unexpectedly a day before she gave birth to their twins.
A gofundme page set up for Sue Heslin Trubiano, of Natick, had raised nearly $66,000 as of Wednesday morning.
Family members say 39-year-old Dino Trubiano died unexpectedly in his sleep on Friday. His wife of nearly 10 years called 911, but first-responders and hospital staff could not resuscitate him. The cause of death remains under investigation.
On Saturday, Sue Trubiano gave birth by cesarean section to two healthy boys — Caleb Peter and Jacob Dino.
A statement from the Trubiano and Heslin families said they're "overwhelmed and humbled" by the support they've received.
