Chart shows what types of foods Americans don't eat, but should

Well all know that Americans don't eat their fruits and veggies, but this chart from the USDA lets us count the ways.

According to figures that compare actual grocery spending with what the government recommends over an eight-year period, we're buying a fraction of green vegetables,  legumes and whole fruits than what's suggested.

Instead, we buy way more juice, frozen dinners and candy. In fact, there was one area was perfect balance found: potatoes.
